The indictment concerning the former senior inspector of a company of police of a special purpose and the foreman of group of logistics, logistics and communication of GU of National police in the Nikolaev area is directed to court.
The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings was carried out by investigative territorial managements of the State Bureau of Investigations located in the city of Nikolaev.
The investigation established that the police, being in a state of intoxication, decided to perform natural needs near the car «Chevrolet Aveo» parked under the house. Two citizens noticed this and made a remark to the police, to which the police responded with obscene language and demanded that they take to the streets.
When one of the citizens went outside, the police started beating him, and after the victim tried to escape, law enforcement officers fired at least three shots from a 9 mm Fort-14r pistol.
Thus, the police are accused of hooliganism committed by a group of persons with the use of firearms (Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
If convicted, law enforcement officers face up to 3 to 7 years in prison.
The prosecutor’s office of the Nikolaev area carried out the procedural management of pre-judicial investigation in criminal proceedings.
