Within the framework of the State Defense Order for 2020, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine signed a contract for the purchase of a batch of 120-mm EM-120 mortars belonging to the Bulgarian company EMCO. The equipment is dangerous for the life and health of domestic servicemen.

The matter is that the specified Bulgarian firm does not have own production base, and carries out repair and pre-sale preparation of old technics, including and 120-mm mortars.
In fact, it may turn out that Ukraine will receive the «good old» Soviet 2B11, but with Bulgarian labels on the products. It would seem that against the background of problems with the «Hammer» from the plant «Lighthouse», tests of three mortars from domestic manufacturers, this step looks right. Moreover, the army’s needs for these weapons are enormous — only the state defense order includes the purchase of 140 units, « — he thinks Жирохов.
