At an extraordinary meeting on Thursday evening, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to ban foreigners from entering the country for a month from midnight on August 28.

The restrictions will run until September 28. In order for border guards to comply with the government’s decision, it has yet to be published on its official website.

The list of those for whom exceptions will be made has also been expanded, namely those who will be allowed to enter Ukraine:

• are relatives of the first line;
• have a work permit in Ukraine;
• are sent to the territory of Ukraine in transit and have documents confirming departure abroad within two days;
• arrive in Ukraine for study purposes;
• are serving in the territory of Ukraine;
• permanently or temporarily reside on the territory of Ukraine;
• recognized as refugees or persons in need of additional protection;
• are employees of diplomatic missions and consular posts of foreign states, missions of official international missions, organizations accredited in Ukraine, and members of their families;
• are heads and members of official delegations of foreign states, employees of international organizations, as well as persons accompanying them, and enter Ukraine at the invitation of the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
• are persons arriving in Ukraine at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
• are drivers and / or crew members of freight vehicles, buses engaged in regular transportation, crew members of aircraft, sea and river vessels, members of train and locomotive crews;
• are instructors of the Armed Forces of NATO member states and member states of the NATO «Partnership for Peace» program, who take part in training events for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or arrive at the invitation of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine;
• are cultural figures who arrive at the invitation of a cultural institution together with one person who accompanies each of them;
• arrive to participate in official sports competitions held on the territory of Ukraine and their accompanying persons;
• technical specialists who arrive in Ukraine at the invitation of representatives of Ukrainian enterprises;
• persons transporting hematopoietic stem cells for transplantation;
• those who come for treatment to health care institutions of Ukraine.
