From August 5 to 25, the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine will accept applications from children aged 8 to 15 to participate in the national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Children can take part both with their own song and with a cover of the song.
It is noted that at the first stage, participants must fill out and submit an application on the national selection website . During the day, the participant’s video will be published on with the hashtag # uajesc2020, if the application is answered . Until August 25, the participants of the selection will be able to collect likes under their videos with songs.
In the second stage — August 26-27 — will determine the shortlist, which will include the eleven best participants: eight with the author’s song, two — with covers, as well as the participant whose video will get the most likes.
At the third stage — from August 28 to September 4 — the names of eleven participants will be announced, contracts will be signed. A song will also be recorded by the Public for performers of covers, and if desired, performers of their own songs will be able to record it.
In the fourth stage (from 5 to 7 September) there will be a vote, during which the jury and users of social networks will determine the winner among the eleven participants.
The name of the winner of the national selection for Junior Eurovision 2020 will be announced at the fourth stage — by September 12.
«Junior Eurovision 2020» will take place on November 29 in Warsaw (Poland). The Polish public broadcaster (Telewizja Polska) will host Junior Eurovision for the second time in a row. In 2019, the competition was held in Gliwice.
