Two departments of the institution are located on the banks of the Khadzhibey estuary, and one more is in Odessa.
SBU prevented the appropriation of the property complex of the children’s sanatorium «Khadzhibey». It consists of three branches, which are located in Kholodnaya Balka, Usatovo and Karkashadze Lane in Odessa.

According to the investigation, at the initiative of officials of the Ministry of Health in 2007, the management of the sanatorium entered into an investment agreement with a private enterprise for the construction of a recreation center on the territory of the department in Kholodnaya Balka. According to the terms of the contract, the merchants undertook to complete the whole range of works, as well as finance the repair of other departments and purchase vehicles for the institution.
After that, the sanatorium was supposed to transfer to them the recreation center built in Kholodnaya Balka. Despite the fact that the work was never completed, in 2018 private traders decided to sue the health resort for a plot in Karkashadze Lane and other property.
The SBU check has recorded that such actions are illegal. In addition, the contract was not agreed with the State Property Fund.
The cost of the entire complex is more than UAH 50 million. Now the land plots and buildings of the institution have been seized.
Opened criminal proceedings. The investigation establishes all those involved in the criminal scheme. They could face up to 12 years in prison.
