Investigators of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation, located in Mykolayiv, together with the Odesa Department of the DVB of the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Odesa Oblast Prosecutor’s Office, reported the suspicion of raping a minor.
The investigation established that the minor girl met the suspect in late January 2020, when her mother addressed the police with a statement about the disappearance of her daughter after another conflict. Militiamen drew up an administrative report against the mother and talked to her daughter.
On February 11, the suspect, who was working as a juvenile prevention sector inspector at the time, forced the minor to go to his home, where he raped her, and then took her to a public transport stop.
A few days later, the victim decided to tell her teacher about the crime, who persuaded her to file a complaint with the police.
The issue of choosing a measure of restraint for the suspect in the form of detention is currently being resolved.
