Near Sviatohirsk, police found a child living in «inhumane» conditions
Law enforcement officers and social workers from Slovyansk responded to reports from villagers that the child lived in extremely unsuitable conditions and had almost no care. Law enforcement officers took the child to the hospital.
«A woman with a child lives on the outskirts of the village of Bohorodychne in extremely unsuitable conditions,» said employees of the Slovyansk District Center for Social Services for Families, Children and Youth, together with local police.
To check the information, social workers and juvenile prevention inspectors went to the village.
The house of the 31-year-old woman was not found immediately — a barely visible path led to it through the bushes. The building itself was literally in the woods, without electricity and water supply.
In the house, law enforcement officers saw extremely unsanitary conditions, lack of necessities and normal food.
An 8-year-old child was in an abandoned state. His mother was «not indifferent» to alcohol, and his father rarely appears at home.
The boy was taken away by an ambulance and taken to Slovyansk Children’s Hospital, where he will be examined.
The issue of bringing a woman to justice for failure to fulfill parental responsibilities, as well as the future of the family, is currently being resolved.
