The European Cup campaign of the 2020/2021 season will start on Friday, July 17, with the draw of the first preliminary stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Football matches of the starting stage of the competition will take place on August 8 and 11, according to press service UAF.
Back in June, the executive committee of the Union of European Football Associations determined that the qualifying rounds of the Champions League and Europa League for the 2020/2021 season will consist of one match (except for the playoffs of the Champions League qualifiers). The draw will determine which clubs will play at their stadium.
Calendar of the Champions League 2020/2021:
Preliminary round: draw — July 17, matches — August 8 and 11
First qualifying round: draw — August 9, matches — August 18/19
Second qualifying round: draw — August 10, matches — August 25/26
Third qualifying round: draw — August 31, matches — September 15/16
Play-off round: draw — September 1, matches — September 22/23 and September 29/30
Group stage: draw — October 1, matches — October 20/21 and 27/28, November 3/4 and 24/25, December 1/2 and 8/9.
Europa League Calendar 2020/2021:

The draw for the 1/8 finals of the Champions League 2020/2021 and the 1/16 finals of the Europa League 2020/2021 will take place on December 14 this year.
Ukraine will be represented in the European Cups by five clubs. Shakhtar, as the winner of the Premier League, has a ticket to the group stage of the Champions League. The winner of the UPL silver medals will start with the third qualifying round of the Champions League. Ukraine delegates three clubs to the Europa League. One club will start from the second qualifying, third qualifying and group stages, respectively.
