Italian team of referees to decide PSG Champions League final — Bayern — Ukrainian news
The 44-year-old Italian Daniele Orsato has been appointed the main referee of the final match of the UEFA Champions League 2019/20 PSG — Bavaria. This was reported by the official UEFA website.
Next Sunday, August 23, the new king of football in Europe will be determined at the Estadio do Benfica in Lisbon. PSG and Bayern will meet in the 2019/20 Champions League final. The German-French confrontation will be decided by an Italian team of referees led by Daniele Orsato.
The Italian referee, who won the international category 10 years ago, has not previously refereed the decisive matches. This season, Orsato has played in eight Champions League games, including Real’s first quarter-final match against Manchester City. Two other representatives of Italy, Lorenzo Manganelli and Alessandro Giallatini, have been appointed line judges for the match. The fourth referee will be Romanian Ovidiu Hatzegan, and the VAR team will be led by Italian Massimiliano Irrati, who will be assisted by three assistants: Marco Guida (Italy), Roberto Diaz (Spain) and Alejandro Hernandez (Spain).
Note that last year Orsato worked as the fourth referee in the final game of the Europa League Chelsea — Arsenal.
