An indictment was filed against a senior officer of the Border Guard Department of one of the border detachments of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service.
According to the investigation, the border guard, for his own enrichment, established a systematic sale of a particularly dangerous drug «cannabis» and a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance PVP.
DBR investigators exposed the criminal activities of the border guard and, in early June 2020, during the prompt purchase of the officer was detained.
Thus, the border guard is accused of illegal acquisition, storage for sale, as well as illegal sale of a particularly dangerous drug and a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance, committed repeatedly (Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code).
If convicted, the accused faces imprisonment for a term of 6 to 10 years with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by investigators from the territorial office of the State Bureau of Investigation, located in the city of Melitopol.
