The attacker tried to hide his involvement in the crime: he took the body out of the apartment, washed the traces of blood from the floor, and threw the things and tools of the murder in various garbage cans. The suspect was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
A local resident reported to the police that she found a bloodied man in the entrance on the ground floor. At the address, police found a body with signs of a violent death.
It took criminal investigation officers less than an hour to gather all the necessary evidence and identify the perpetrator and the deceased. They turned out to be local residents.
Police found out that the night before the 44-year-old victim came to visit his friend. A conflict arose between the men, as a result of which the guest was fatally injured.
To avoid criminal liability, the attacker decided to get rid of the body and took it to the porch at night. The man threw away the clothes with traces of blood, the blanket and the knife with which he killed his acquaintance.
In fact, a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 115 «Premeditated murder» of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 15 years.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, in the future the issue of choosing a measure of restraint will be resolved.
