In the city of Dnipro due to a fire in a high-rise building from the upper floors rescuers evacuated 23 people, including three children. No one was killed or injured in the fire.
This was reported by the press service of the SES in the Dnipropetrovsk region, reports «UNN».
«On August 22, at 23:00, the Rescue Service» 101 «received a message that an elevator shaft in a nine-storey residential building was burning along Krushelnytska Lane, Amur-Nizhnedneprovsky District, Dnipro.» — it is spoken in the message.
It is noted that the fire broke out in the elevator shaft on the ground floor.
«The fire engulfed an elevator car and a high-voltage cable inside the mine. The fire smoked the stairwell, which hindered the free evacuation of citizens from the upper floors. Rescuers evacuated 23 people, including 3 children, from the smoky rooms on the upper floors. « — reported in the SES.
It is added that the fire damaged the elevator shaft from the first to the third floor, the elevator car and the high-voltage cable. No one was killed or injured in the fire. The fire was extinguished at midnight.
