In Slovyansk, police exhumed the bodies of those killed in the 2014 fighting

All of them have experience in property crimes for which they have served their sentences.

A 52-year-old resident of Berezivka district deprived a young man from the district center of his bicycle when he came there from the village to get medicine. Seeing a two-wheeled vehicle in someone else’s yard, the man decided to save on a minibus, broke the lock on the gate and rode his bicycle home for five kilometers.

A 54-year-old man from the Izmail district stole a bicycle from a fellow villager. A woman was holding a vehicle in the entrance. He caught the offender’s eye when he came to visit the victim’s neighbor — his friend.

Finally, a 28-year-old resident of Bilyaivskyi district broke all records by stealing eleven bicycles left by owners near shops and high-rise buildings in Odesa.

In the territorial police units, the defendants were informed about the suspicion of theft under parts 2 and 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, depending on whether they enter the premises or not. Under current law, the maximum penalty for men is five to six years in prison.

The police emphasize to the citizens that they should take care to protect their property and close it in garages, barns or houses. If you need to leave the vehicle on the street, be sure to use a few secure locks or ask someone you know to look after it.
