In NBU the new head — people’s deputies appointed Kirill Shevchenko StopCor
The Verkhovna Rada appointed Kyryl Shevchenko Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine. This decision was supported by 332 people’s deputies on July 16.
Kyrylo Shevchenko has been managing Ukrgasbank for many years. In the Office of the President, his candidacy for the post of head of the NBU was discussed in early July, transmits «DT»
At the same time, Shevchenko has been the Chairman of the Board of Ukrgasbank since May 2015. Prior to that, he held the position of First Deputy and Acting Chairman of the Board. In 2012-2014, Shevchenko was an adviser to the head of Oschadbank.
In the banking sector, the new head of the NBU since 1994, where he worked in the «Ukrainian Credit Bank» (now A-Bank), in the bank «Finance and Credit». He later headed the State Mortgage Institution. Also in 2009, he was an adviser to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko for several months.
Kyrylo Shevchenko, answering questions from deputies from the relevant parliamentary committee, stated that he would not allow uncontrolled inflation or emissions and considered it a priority to continue cooperation with the IMF.
