The Council of the International Football Federation (FIFA) has changed the rules of departure of football players to national teams. This was reported by the press service of the organization.
The interim rules came into force for security reasons amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the world.
Football clubs are allowed not to send players to national teams if the following conditions exist:
- In the country of arrival of the football player the obligatory quarantine from 5 days is established.
- There are entry / exit restrictions in the country.
- There are no exceptions for athletes in the above conditions.
The new FIFA rules will take effect from the beginning of the international training camp / games from August 31 to September 8 (for men) and from September 14 to 22 (for women).
Note that in early September, the Ukrainian national team will start its way in the UEFA League of Nations, which will play with Switzerland (September 3 in Lviv) and Spain (September 6 in Madrid).
