At 8:25 a.m., the Communal Police Department received a report that the body of a 1946-born pensioner had been found in one of the rooms in the geriatric center of Zaporizhia, located on European Street. There were signs of a violent death on the body. An investigative task force went to the scene.
During the investigation it was established that on the eve of the terrible events, a quarrel arose between the victim and a man born in 1945, who also lives in this institution. During which the latter inflicted several stab wounds to his opponent.
The defendant was informed about the suspicion on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 115 (Premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 7 to 15 years.
