Under the procedural guidance of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the former director of the enterprise was informed about the suspicion of attempted illegal privatization of communal property, as well as forgery (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 233, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code).
According to the investigation, the former director of the company, acting on a preliminary conspiracy by a group of people, pursuing the selfish goal of privatizing non-residential premises with a total area of more than 3 thousand square meters worth more than 30 million UAH, located in the historic part of Ternopil, signed knowingly false documents about alleged negative improvements to the leased property.
Suspicion was also reported to the technical engineer in the issuance of a knowingly forged official document in respect of these premises (Part 2 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The regional prosecutor’s office has seized property and is taking steps to transfer it to the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes.
Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by investigators of the State Unitary Enterprise of the National Police in the region, with the operational support of the SBU Office in the Ternopil region.
