Dniprovsky District Court of Kyiv upheld the position of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and found the former «Minister of Health of the Republic of Crimea» guilty of treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as amended in 2014) and sentenced him to in the form of 10 years of imprisonment.
It is established that in 2014, as a citizen of Ukraine, after the occupation of the peninsula, he headed the illegally created «Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea» within the «Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea», thus assisting a foreign state in carrying out subversive activities to the detriment of sovereignty. and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The «Minister» directly participated in the implementation of the policy of the occupying state, which is aimed at legitimizing the occupying power, by issuing orders and directives on the activities of the «ministry». In addition, he assisted the occupying authorities in organizing and conducting an illegal «referendum on the status of Crimea» in 2014, and reported to the «leadership» of the occupation administration on the results of the voting of his subordinates, persuading them to acquire Russian citizenship.
