The employee of GSChS of Ukraine and two intermediaries were exposed on extortion and receiving 70 thousand. US dollars. This was reported to UNN by the press service of the Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office.
«… The employee of GSChS of Ukraine and two intermediaries on suspicion of extortion and receiving illegal benefit, and also in incitement to providing illegal benefit to the official (h. 4 Art. 368, h. 2 Art. 368-4 and h. 1 Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) «, — it is told in the message.
According to the materials of the investigation, the civil servant and his accomplices demanded from the representative of the printing company 35 thousand. dollars for the issuance of permits in the field of fire safety and another 10 thousand. dollars — for drawing up an expert opinion on the fire condition of a production facility with an area of more than 5 thousand sq. m without actually leaving for this object.
In addition, as indicated, the intermediaries persuaded the same entrepreneur to provide an illegal benefit in the amount of 25 thousand. dollars to a law enforcement official for the unimpeded conduct of business after obtaining all permits.
During control over commission of a crime militiamen documented receipt by the specified persons of 70 thousand. dollars in two stages.
On Thursday, August 27, 2020, after the transfer of the second tranche in the amount of 60 thousand intermediaries were detained in one of the restaurants in the center of Kiev, and an official of GSChS in his office.
