49 new cases, 18 notices of suspicion — NABU results in June 2020
Both malefactors have already been declared suspects under Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the sanction of which provides for up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
In Khmelnytsky, officers from the Drug Crime Department, together with investigators from the Khmelnytsky Oblast GUNP Investigation Department, with the involvement of a special police company and under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, detained two malefactors selling cannabis and amphetamine, which they made at home.
One of the detainees has a rich criminal past — he had previously been prosecuted for contract murder and drug-related crimes. And his accomplice worked in one of the taxi services of the regional center.
By the way, drugs were also sold among taxi passengers. The attackers offered discounts on their products to regular customers, and when attracting new people, they provided a kind of bonus in the form of a small dose of drugs for free.
In total, law enforcement officers documented 6 cases of drug trafficking by suspects.
The criminals were detained «hot» while selling another dose of drugs.
As part of the investigation, 4 authorized searches were conducted, during which police found and seized many packages and packages of cannabis and amphetamine, drug devices, scales, measuring cups, flasks, glass tubes, hydrochloric acid, acetone and more.
Both men have already been declared suspects under Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the sanction of which provides for up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. Investigative actions are currently underway.
